Mullberry Whine

poured out before bed

Favorite Things Friday

I LOVE impressionism.  Blossoming Almond Tree, painted in 1890 by none other than the Vincent Van Gogh, is one of my favorites – the inspiration, actually, for the decor in the master bedroom of the Whine household.  There is something altogether longing and easy, beautiful and coarse, bright and cloud-filled about this piece.  A good scene to fall asleep beneath – and a nice one to close out a very long week.  Happy viewing!

  1. This is a beautiful piece and I love your poetic description of it –bright and cloud-filled, beautiful and coarse all at the same time–kind of a metaphor for life

Well thank you! And you’re right, I do believe that’s why I love this piece – it just fits whatever I’m feeling, with enough depth to allow me to see beyond my thoughts.

Keep it clean, keep it respectful, or keep away.
