.

♣  Mullberry Whine /mul’ ber’e (h)win’/ n

1.  a homemade spirit with notes of wonder and candor, with subtle hints of growth and frustration; brewed with love, poured with care, and shared with all who appreciate a little story-telling and a few laughs.

2. a blog where a city girl with a country heart marvels and moans and muses at those things marriage, medicine, and membership to the human race bring her way.  Thoughts are poured out just before bed, like a glass of homemade wine, just for herself and any who would listen.

3. the nom de plume of a 20-something intern physician, junior scientist, writer, sister, daughter, friend, (doctor’s) wife, and lover of things simple and complex, finished and raw, just beginning and gray, making a point to mull over one little thing, to preserve one little moment, in the course of her busy day.

Thanks so much! A bit of it comes from a tart-sweet love for the mulberry bushes on my parent’s farm – gotta love that country life! 😉

Your blog is nifty – and warms my spirit, remembering days gone by – keeping life afloat while my doctor husband slogged through medical school. Then internship. Then residency – after a little active duty doctoring detour. That seems like forever ago – maybe because it IS becoming forever ago! Thanks for stopping by my blog and finding the ‘like’ button. : ) So glad you did.

Oh goodness, it’s a long haul, isn’t it? But you speak of it with that spunk that tells me the memories are steely, but fond. Welcome – and I’m likewise glad to have found your strand of the web!
